What You'll Do
As a Cook, you'll help prepare and serve high-quality meals while supporting the daily operations of the kitchen and creating a positive dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary requirements
- Prepare a variety of foods, including soups, sauces, baked goods, appetizers, and desserts
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule
- Follow proper food preparation, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Assist with inventory management, food preparation, and other daily kitchen operations
- Follow food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Work collaboratively with other culinary and senior living team members
- Help create an enjoyable dining experience for residents by preparing quality, appealing meals
What You'll Need
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- At least 2 years of cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior services, or similar setting
- Experience with food preparation and handling
- Knowledge of recipes, cooking methods, and food safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Must be willing to work holidays and participate in a weekend rotation
